Where's our Monkey Woman been?
Us cyber-yuppies ask.
In the light of her Monkey empresshood
We yearn to live and bask.
We miss her wise and witty quips
Her wry, incisive jabs
Her clever comments, brilliant jests,
Her genius gift of gab.
Oh, who will tell us what we seek
To know of Jake & crew?
Without our Monkey Woman there
What's a fan to do?
We think 'foul play' but that ain't it
How could such badness be?
But someone should explain the why
Of her absence, please, to me.
The BBS has been real swell
We hang on every word
But to think our Queen can be replaced
Is patently absurd.
And so we pine, and yap, and moan
And gripe that she's not there
And find ourselves too prone to groan
"Life really isn't fair."
So someone, please! find where she is
And let us people know
And bring her back, and spare us fans
Our agonistic throes.
For without the Queen of Monkeydom
We can but pine and cry.
It's worse than a pilot without a plane
Or a dog with just one eye.
