I had a friend who watched it and said that the bar fight scene between Gandy and Jake was cut out.
He also said that one scene was reinserted that was not in the original 1982 airing (he has 16 episodes that came directly from the first run, so he should know).
He's currently editing both versions into one, longer version. I wonder what will happen with next week's show.
When USA Networks re-ran the series, they seemed a bit shorter, to make more room for commercials. It seems the trend might continue.
: For those of you who are interested in the cuts TV Land made in the episode Legends Are Forever, the running time for the original uncut ABC episode was 49 minutes and 10 seconds. The TV Land broadcast ran 43 minutes and 55 seconds (all times are without commercials) Even if you take in consideration the 20 sceonds for the teaser and 25 seconds for the next week preview in the ABC episode, it still leaves around 5 minutes edited for more commercial time by TV Land, but hey something is better than nothing anyday! I encourage everyone to drop TV Land a line via snailmail and ask that they place the series on their weekend schedule. Other news: you can catch Jeff MacKay in his role as a regular in Black Sheep Squadron that is currently airing Sunday mornings at 11AM eastern time on The History Channel, and if Sci-Fi Channel follows it's regular schedule you should be able to see Jeff in 3 weeks in the Battlestar Galactica episode The Gun on Ice Planet Zero Part 1. Galactica airs Sundays at 9AM Eastern time.
