Pehea Oe, Miss Urulu
Fell asleep practicing my ukelele during the second dogwatch (that's the one after the first dogwatch).
The Captain must have comeback. His wetsuit cheater (that's kind of like a vest) was gone, so was his Sykes-Fairbairn knife. Not good, not good, a-toll. There was the distinctive smell of cordite in the air.
I figure:
a. There is a ventilate Kraut navy lieutenant somewhere; or
b. You chances of promotion at the University have increased to, well, real good; or
c. Somewhere there's a bar with a shot-up mirror and seven years bad luck.
Lookout for a lean guy, mean as whipcord tottin' this hardware:

Oh yeah, he took this book on the anthropology of cannibalism in the Pacific, too. I think he figures Jake is being held on some obscure island.
Well, tu-ra-lu-ra, Miss Urulu. Hope to see you at the Chafed Kingspoke.
