I find this to be a problem with many things I treasured in the 1980s... Whenever I revisit things I enjoyed as a kid, I find I am sometimes disappointed; Mark Almond's (Soft Cell) singing abilities, for example. Fortunately, there are things that acquire a certain charm upon rediscovering them, like the Sly Stallone movie "Victory" on DVD.

So for all you Monkiacs out there that are fortunate enough to have tapes of the old show: How is it (again)? I loved TOTGM when it was on the air, but that was when I was 11 years old. I fear time and maturity may wane my fondness for the show if I were to see it again. Some things don't stand the acid test of nostaliga revisited. They just end up seeming corny.
