My recollection is that in the years preceding the debut, Heublein was marketing a line of drink mixes -- on known as the Brass Monkey. They ran a series of ads perhaps called "Tales of the Brass Monkey" about a bar in the the Far East, the ads were laced with hints of Casablanca intrigue and references to the Kempeitai.

I doubt Heublein would have released their rights to Bellasario, but it probably triggered a line of creative thought.
