Terry, your story actually sounds more romantic than mine! :) I'm very much the action-adventure type, which is where my story would go (I have been wanting to see Stephen grab a gun and run off after the bad guys for a long time, but I don't think that'll happen on 7th Heaven ). But you're right, I was afraid the marriage aspect might make Jake seem boring or too settled (and remember, us girls want to think of Jake as "available", so I know where you're coming from). But for some reason it just kept surfacing as the right way to go.

I like the idea about Jake inheriting the bar. In my original concept I had Jake as the owner of the bar too, but because he bought it after Louie's death. He had gotten burned out in the war and decided to go back to the island to sort of relive the old days (we won't call it retirement ). But I just couldn't get happy with other elements of the story and gathering the characters. So I thought of moving it off the island, got this other idea and went with it.

But I know it's weird not being on Boragora, which is why thought I'd take a quick poll. I'm hoping to write the whole thing in a way that can be changed if I really want to (change locations, add/subtract characters, etc.). Gosh knows, this is like the third completely different version I've written anyway(the other also centering around Louie's funeral--great Monkiac minds do think alike).

In any case, it's fun hearing everybody's ideas. Hey, we could have a virtual reunion series! (that second season just took a reeeeelly long time to produce...).

Kathy
