Tali,
For the longest time I've been wanting to check out your website on the real Jake Cutter, but as yet have not found time, but I will. I still am totally amazed that Jake Cutter was a real flesh and blood person! I thought he was an "Indiana Jones"-type of fictional creation. (Of course I realize the Gold Monkey storylines were probably mostly fictional.)
Tali, I'm glad you told me about the Hawaian shirts Jake wore in his more mature years, because recently I saw a Hawaian shirt in a store and it had the "old fashioned" colors and print of a shirt created in the past (like those colors that were often used in old World War 11 era post cards.) Somehow it reminded me of something Jake might wear, so I bought it! (Much less expensive than the leather jackets!) Now I can feel like Jake on my budget! LOL!! :-)
Yes, i had often wondered how Jake could wear that hot jacket in the tropics! That's Hollywood! I guess Hollywood would say that having him wear the jacket was a way of telling the audience each week WHO Jake was---and of course, they would be correct. TV "paints mental pictures" using solid structures. It's a form of story-telling.
Thanks for your response Tali!
