It is understandable that you and others have had trouble interpreting the "facts" persented on the show. My folks owned Cutter's Goose during the all the filming for the show and were present on site for all the filming. Acording to them, there were many incidents where they noticed errors in the script reference Goose's statistics and flying in general. My stepfather flew gooses for many years in Alaska and was very familiar with them. On each occation that he noticed errors he pointed them out to the script writers on the set. They dutifly took notes and assured he the appriciated his imput. On one occasion he related to me the Corky read lines describing a Widgeon which is a very different plane, 1/2 the size of a Goose. On another the Goose was described as flying at something like 27,ooo feet, the altitude you might expect a pressurized jet to opperate. In each and every case the errors were not corrected, they simply did not care about accuracy. They were collecting the money for the show with or without accuracy even if the correct information was actually in their hands. My stepfather got a lot of grief from his fellow goose pilots when the show aired as none of them missed spotting the errors either. If the writers could not get the airplane facts straight, it is no supprise to me that for them the invention of an island chain would present no accuracy problems what so ever. I am sure they felt NO one would ever even think of checking on them. Happy Goosing, Mac
