I always wanted Tales of the Gold Monkey to have more supernatural, scary tales, because the natives on these islands have some scary stories to tell.
: On "Survivor" the TV crews are experiencing some of this island mystery!!! They told of how whenever a person was "voted off" the island, that person's torch ALWAYS went out BEFORE it was snuffed out--as if the "spirits" knew. And it always rains when they have tribal councel (which went along with some ancient island legend--can't remember exactly how.)
: Pretty spooky stuff!!! I'm weird I guess, but I love that kind of mystery!!

...and the South China Sea, that if the lights were allowed to go out -- Tiki torches and hurricane [typhoon?] latterns mostly -- in your groggery, the chairs and bottles would rise up and fly and the till would suddenly and mysteriously become devoid of revenues. On really good night in such circumstances, shots would ring out.
Something to do with evil, spirits, and brawls. The local sawbones and medicos -- when sober --viewed such dark happenings as good for business.
There was really nothing to that could be done about it. The supply of chaste maidens offerable to the volcano god had dried up years long ago -- happily so, it was said by some.
Eerily yours
