I just got through watching the new version of The Lost World on TV (now in it's second year), and it features a lady called Margareet on the show. Now this lady is just as much of the hero of the show as is the male he-man, Rockston. She even wears an Indiana Jones hat!!!!! I like her character. The show is pretty wild, and sometimes even weird, but usually the characters themselves remain serious.
The point of all this is: What if Gold Monkey was re-made into a new series with a new cast. Would you like to see Sarah "evolve" from the character she was into one more like Margareet on the Lost World? Would you like to see Sarah as an equal to Jake, just as much the hero as he was? I think maybe I would.
I'm a guy, but I've always liked shows that had strong female leads, and I think it would also be good for young girls growing up to have images of heroic women to inspire them.
Don't get me wrong, Sarah was always one of my favorite characters on Gold Monkey, but if a re-make was ever done, I think an "updating" of her character would be in order. Comments?
