My three (or four) new characters were the DeCoolette family, a single dad raising two daughters plus a dog named Toby. The dad, Michael, is/was a good friend of Louie's (he won't be hanging 'round for long). Elise is the oldest daughter and Melody is the youngest.
The thing is, Melody is Louie's daughter and not Michael's.
See what my muses make me come up with?
: I'm not a writer, but in my "dream world" I also had a new character joining the cast. Did you ever see the episode where Corky was supposed to marry this island girl, who was a compulsive overeater and called Corky "hubby"? Well, I liked her character!
: I of course would get rid of the politically incorrect aspect (and rightfully so) of her compulsively eating just because she was a "big gal". I would make her a waitress at the Monkey Bar, perfect to be there amoung it's other quirky characters. Also, her character could be made more "human"---into a motherly type of character for Jake and the others. (Bon Chance Louie was a fatherly image on the show, and I felt the show also needed a motherly image at the bar--definitly not a role for Sarah!!) And it would be fun to let her have a continuing crush on Corky! Just some thoughts and ideas....
