Growing up in Sydney, Australia in the mid- to late-1950s, I was exposed to quite a few WB shows through the (then) new - for Australia - medium of television. Between the (then) TCN-9 and ATN-7 networks, we had available the following WB shows:
"Cheyenne", "Bronco", "Sugarfoot", "Maverick", "Lawman", "Colt .45", "The Alaskans", "77 Sunset Strip", "Bourbon Street Beat", "Surfside 6" and "Hawaiian Eye".
Then, a couple of years ago, one of the Australian tv networks started repeating certain WB shows around early morning hours. These repeats included 1958-60 episodes of "77 Sunset Strip", 1959-60 episodes of "Hawaiian Eye" and 1958-60 episodes of "Lawman".
These repeat screenings stopped a couple of months ago. But, as a baby boomer brought up around the time that these shows were televised new, it certainly brought back fond memories. And it is interesting to ponder how some of the stars either disappeared from the entertainment scene over the years or shot to new heights. One of the lucky ones was, of course, Roger Moore, wo did "Ivanhoe" in the UK, went to the US for "The Alaskans" and "Maverick", then back to the UK for "The Saint"; then on to the show he did with Tony Curtis (can't remember the name off-hand), then on to "James Bond".
Incidentally, have any episodes of "Colt .45" (starring Wayde Preston and Donald May) survived?
Can anyone tell me
