I also remember making this association between Gold Monkey and Adventures in Paradise! (I gather I'm not the only "old guy" on this list! LOL! At 47 I can remember seeing this show, but few people seem to remember it. I would love to see it again!)
This string of conversation is interesting! Thanks Captain for telling us more about The Brass Monkey booze. Are you sure it's still sold? I'm not a booze drinker, but still I've never caught a glance of a drink called The Brass Monkey anywhere.
Would love to own this ad you speak of. It certainly does sound like part of the "legend" the Gold Monkey was based on. But maybe there might still be more, because like Donn I think it would be cool if there was even more to the legend. Especially if it was an acutal South Pacific legend!!!!
